Similar to other versions, this variation of Raiden II New/Raiden DX operates on a newer V33 PCB, however, it utilizes a Raiden II EEPROM. The EEPROM, essentially the game's memory chip, dictates certain game aspects, and in this case, likely leads to the reported inferior sound compared to the Raiden DX EEPROM version.  This version shows the nuances of arcade game variations which could stem from subtle differences in hardware and software components, impacting the overall experience.  The main gameplay remains true to its predecessor, providing the same thrilling and challenging experience that defines the Raiden series. This game too was developed by Seibu Kaihatsu.
