Castlevania: The Adventure, originally released for the Game Boy, is a side-scrolling action game where you play as Christopher Belmont, ancestor of the iconic Belmont clan. While not as acclaimed as its predecessors on other consoles, it offered a solid introduction to the series' signature gothic atmosphere, challenging platforming, and whip-based combat on a handheld system.  Gameplay involves navigating treacherous stages, defeating various enemies with your whip and sub-weapons, and collecting power-ups.  It was developed and published by Konami, marking one of the early entries in the long-running Castlevania franchise.
