Joe & Mac (USA)
The Game Boy version of Joe & Mac maintains the core gameplay of the arcade and console originals, focusing on side-scrolling action and cooperative gameplay. Players, as the titular cavemen Joe and Mac, fight their way through levels filled with enemies and obstacles using an array of primitive weapons. The game was developed with the Game Boy's technical capabilities in mind and successfully delivers a compelling, albeit simplified, adaptation of the original's chaotic fun. This version is slightly altered from the other versions in terms of level design and enemy placement to fit the Game Boy.
