Shanghai is a classic puzzle game released on the Game Boy in both Japan and USA regions. It's based on the Mahjong solitaire game where players need to match pairs of identical tiles until the board is cleared. The core gameplay involves strategic tile removal, planning ahead to avoid deadlocks. Variations may exist between the Japanese and US versions. The original version of Shanghai was created by Broderbund.
