Batman Returns for the NES is a 1993 action-adventure game based on the Tim Burton film of the same name. Players control Batman as he navigates Gotham City, battling enemies like The Penguin and Catwoman.  Gameplay involves side-scrolling levels with a mix of combat and puzzle elements.  The game is known for its somewhat challenging difficulty and its faithfulness to the movie's atmosphere, although the graphics and sound are limited by the NES's capabilities.  It was developed and published by Konami.
