Communist Mario 3 is a ROM hack of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System game Super Mario Bros. 3. It retains the core gameplay of the original, but with a significant alteration in the game's aesthetic and themes.  The game replaces the Mushroom Kingdom's cheerful aesthetic with a distinctly Soviet-themed world.  This includes redesigned sprites and levels, as well as new enemies that align with this theme.  The gameplay remains largely faithful to the original, challenging players with platforming obstacles and enemy encounters.  Created by independent ROM hackers, the game exists as a fan-made alteration and is not officially endorsed or produced by Nintendo.
