Nazo no Murasamejou, meaning "The Mysterious Murasame Castle," is a 1986 Japanese action-adventure game originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This 3DS Virtual Console release maintains its classic side-scrolling gameplay, where the player explores a mysterious castle, solving puzzles and battling enemies.  The game is known for its charming pixel art and its unique blend of exploration and action.  The original Japanese version featured text-heavy dialogues, and while there's no official English translation, fan translations exist. The game was developed by Konami.
