Pocket Monsters - Yellow was a special edition released after the original Red and Green versions, serving as a more direct adaptation of the popular Pokemon anime. The game features a redesigned narrative based on the series' first season, with a prominent role for Pikachu, who follows the player throughout the adventure.  Gameplay was largely similar to the earlier titles, but subtle differences in Pokemon encounters and narrative structure created a distinct experience. The game, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, expanded the reach and appeal of the Pokemon franchise to a wider audience.
