The Simpsons: Bart vs. the World is a 1991 action game developed by Imagineering and published by Acclaim Entertainment for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The game features Bart Simpson as he attempts to stop a villainous Mr. Burns from enacting an evil plan. The original game released in Europe. Gameplay consists of navigating side-scrolling levels, collecting items, and engaging in combat with enemies using a variety of items such as slingshots or water balloons.  The game, though simple, captured the humor and spirit of the popular Simpsons television show.
