Hi-Octane is a racing game developed by Attention to Detail and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1996 exclusively for the Playstation. The game focuses on fast-paced, arcade-style racing with an emphasis on speed and tight handling.  Players could choose from a variety of vehicles, each with its unique handling characteristics. Tracks were designed to be challenging and visually interesting, featuring various terrain types and obstacles.  While the graphics were relatively simple compared to later racing games, Hi-Octane successfully captured the thrill of high-speed racing on the Playstation. The game was praised for its addictive gameplay loop, smooth controls and sense of speed.  Sony Computer Entertainment was responsible for publishing the game, whereas Attention to Detail handled development.
