Pinocchio 32X (prototype) is an unreleased build of the platformer based on Disney’s animated classic. This version, dated December 6, 1995, was designed to take advantage of the 32X hardware, offering improved visuals and sound over the Genesis edition. Players control Pinocchio as he journeys from puppet to real boy, reliving iconic scenes from the film, including Stromboli’s circus and Monstro the whale. Though unfinished, the prototype gives insight into what a full release might have offered: enhanced animation, colorful backgrounds, and polished gameplay. Today, it’s a fascinating piece of gaming history and a rare find for collectors.
