Captain Planet and the Planeteers is an action game based on the popular cartoon series of the same name, developed and published by Sunsoft for the Sega Genesis in 1993. This side-scrolling beat 'em up features the heroes from the show as they battle against environmental villains. The gameplay is relatively straightforward, featuring a variety of enemies and bosses, along with the ability to use the powers of the Planeteers to defeat your enemies. Sunsoft was known for bringing various popular licenses to video game consoles, including this adaptation of the hit cartoon.
