Golden Axe II is a sequel to the popular Golden Axe arcade and Genesis game. Released for the Sega Genesis, it retains the side-scrolling beat 'em up gameplay of its predecessor. Building on the original's formula, it features a new set of characters, enemies, and stages. Players can still harness magic attacks and find power-ups throughout the game. The game’s visuals, music, and overall gameplay expanded upon the original, making it a significant title in the Genesis library.  Like its predecessor, it is known for its classic gameplay.
