Herzog Zwei (Japan)
Herzog Zwei, released in 1989, is a real-time strategy game developed by Technosoft and published by Sega. Originally released in Japan, and later in the US and Europe, it's considered one of the earliest examples of the real-time strategy genre. Players control a customizable battle unit, collecting resources, building bases, and engaging in combat. Its influence on the RTS genre is undeniable. Herzog Zwei's simple yet strategic gameplay made it a cult classic. The differences between releases might involve localization, and possibly slight gameplay alterations.
