Klax is a tile-matching puzzle game originally released for arcades in 1990 by Atari Games. Its gameplay involves dropping colored blocks onto a playing field, creating horizontal or vertical lines to clear them and earn points.  The game is known for its unique gameplay mechanics, involving both strategic planning and quick reflexes as blocks fall rapidly.  The Genesis version, released in both Japan and the US, maintained the core gameplay while adapting it to the console's capabilities.  Atari Games developed and published the original arcade and console versions.
