Continuing the NBA Live series, NBA Live 96 further refined the simulation aspects while retaining its accessibility on the Sega Genesis. Electronic Arts again developed the title. The game likely featured updated rosters, enhanced graphics, and perhaps some minor gameplay tweaks compared to its predecessor.   The focus remained on a balance between realistic basketball and enjoyable gameplay.  The US and European versions would have shared similar content.  Its significance is in its continued development of the series’ formula and its role in providing a more detailed basketball experience on the 16-bit console.
