Shining Force II: The Legacy of the Gods is a tactical role-playing game (TRPG) for the Sega Genesis released in Japan in 1994. The game was developed by Sega and Climax Entertainment, continuing the tactical RPG style of its predecessor. Gameplay revolves around turn-based strategic combat, a large cast of recruitable characters, and a deep storyline.  Features like character classes and varied unit abilities are continued from the first game. The Japanese release has subtle differences in terms of narrative and possibly gameplay compared to the Western releases.
