Sonic 1 SMS Edition is a fan-made ROM hack that ports or recreates elements of the original Sega Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog to the Sega Master System. The original Sonic the Hedgehog (1991, Sega) is known for its iconic gameplay. This hack would require significant modification to adapt the game's assets and programming to the Master System's technical limitations.  It is an independent project.
