Sonic Jam is a compilation game for the Sega Genesis, released in 1997. It features updated versions of several classic Sonic the Hedgehog games from the 16-bit era, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog CD, and Sonic Spinball.  The compilation was designed to showcase some of the best games in the franchise on a single cartridge and includes additional features that weren't in the original releases, like new modes and features. Sega produced and released the game.
