Virtual Pinball, released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis, offered a realistic and immersive pinball simulation. The game stood out from the many other pinball games of the era through its detailed visuals and realistic physics engine. Unlike other Genesis games, Virtual Pinball focused on a dedicated gameplay mechanic. Players used the Genesis controller to manipulate the flippers and interact with the game's various features, aiming for high scores. Sega's internal team developed the game.
