Yoshi's Island is a platform game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. It's a spin-off title featuring Yoshi, a dinosaur character from the Mario series, as the main protagonist.  Unlike the Mario games, which focus on rescuing Princess Peach, Yoshi's Island centers on protecting Baby Mario from the clutches of Bowser.  The gameplay is characterized by its unique baby Mario mechanic.  Baby Mario is more vulnerable, and players must protect him by carefully guiding Yoshi through various levels. The game features a colorful and whimsical art style, with levels brimming with charming enemies and environments. The game was developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo.
