Knights of the Round is a 1994 role-playing game developed and published by Squaresoft for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game is set in a fantasy world and features a party-based battle system. Players take on the role of a knight who must defeat an evil sorcerer and save the kingdom. The game is notable for its story, characters, and music.  The original Japanese version was released in 1993. Gameplay revolves around exploring the world map, interacting with NPCs, battling enemies, and completing quests.  The game's popularity led to a sequel, though this one remained Japan-exclusive.
